Cala Sa Nau
Cala sa Nau is situated at 13 kilometres from Portocolom. This beautiful beach is the end of a sinuous s-shaped sea inlet, which is 350 metres long and is at the same time the mouth of a sweet water source into the sea. It finishes on this small sandy area with white, fine-grained sand, surrounded by white, reddish and ochre cliffs with pine trees, bushes and others. In this natural environment there are some nearby buildings. The marine and underwater conditions are excellent for anchoring boats and diving, there is a sandy ground with seaweed and the depth ranges from three to five metres, so that it is possible to anchor near the coast. The area is open to east and northeast. The nearest port facilities are located at, Port de Portocolom, at 2,2 nautical miles. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. The private car can be left on a free parking area at half a kilometre and some stone stairs lead to the sandy area. Nevertheless, the beach is very crowded of local visitors. From Cala sa Nau you can reach Cala Mitjana on foot, or you can visit the Cova des Moro, a small cave in the limestone with door, window, fireplace and rooms. And from Portocolom you can reach this beach following Camí de sa Ronda along the coast and used by the Guardia Civil to reduce smuggling. Information about this beach may change.
