S'Aigua Dolça is situated at 16 kilometres from Artà, between Punta des Barracar and na Clara (excellent breathtaking panoramic views over the bay of Alcúdia), as well as below sa Talaia Freda de Morei (563 metres high) and surrounded by scrubland and bushes. This area belongs to the Àrea Natural d'Especial Interès Muntanyes d'Artà. The cove is located between the spectacular Cap de Ferrut and the village of Betlem. The piece of coast of Artà between es Caló and Caló d'en Sureda (na Clara, Cala Mata, na Pastor, Caló d'en Serra and sa Pedra Alta) is charaterized by the particular shape, it is low (about five metres, small rocks with old fossil dunes and rocky rests of millions of years ago), and the presence of lots of sandbanks and reefs in this area.
The marine and underwater conditions are not good at all for anchoring boats in front of this cove because there are lots of rocks, it is not very deep and the ground is full of seaweed, stones and some sandy areas. These inconvenients are the reason why in this area there are only boats with little draught. You are recommended to anchor between Vells Marins Baixos and Punta des Barracar. The nearest port facilities are located at Port Colònia de Sant Pere.
The accessibility by car is easy until the village of Betlem following the signs. Here you can park your private car for free and continue on foot until you reach s'Aigo Dolça.
