This beach is located on the pedestrian promenade with the same name, it is 250 metres long and 20 metres large, located in the same bay as the Port (“harbour”), it is not very crowded, and it is an urban beach with local visitors and tourists, with a pedestrian sea promenade, good parking areas and wonderful access for disabled people.

Municipality information Sóller

In the north of Majorca, on the coastline of Serra de Tramuntana, the valley appears like a wonderful setting. It is open to the sea at Port de Sóller and surrounded by steep mountains, the area of this fertile and extensive valley belong to the municipalities of Sóller and Fornalutx. Puig (“Mount”) de l'Ofre, es Cornadors, Serra d'Alfàbia, es Teix, Puig de sa Bassa and Penyal des Migdia have been isolating this area from the rest of the island during centuries. Until the 19th century, the valley was only accessible on uncomfortable trails from the nearby villages, like Deià on camino de Castelló, Bunyola on camino viejo de Palma, Lluc though the canyon of Biniaraix and the far away sa Calobra on sa Costera. In the 19th century the roads of Coll de Sóller and Deià were finished, whereas in 1911 the first wagons of the Ferrocarril de Sóller began to transport passengers and merchandise. In 1997 the pay-tunnel that connects Sóller with the rest of the island in a few minutes was opened.

The export of oranges and lemons to the south of France through the Port de Sóller, and production of olive oil allowed an intense cultural and commercial interchange, which you can see if you look at the beautiful stately palaces with wonderful facades with a special elegance in Majorca. Sóller is also integrated by Port, l’Horta and Biniaraix, places where people have been living for a short or long time, seeking for this quiet, bright and beautiful valley.

Port de Sóller is situated in the north-western area of Majorca, has the beaches d'en Repic and Port, both of them are located in the bay of this Port, at about 30 kilometres from Palma and only four from Sóller. The communication is very good and it is one of the emblematic places of Serra de Tramuntana. It has a beautiful shell-shaped bay which is very closed and unique on the island. The two beaches are located at the ends of this bay.
In Port de Sóller you can visit sa Torre Picada, a watchtower on Costa de la Atalaya, to alert the population from Saracene attacks. Barriada de Santa Caterina, a typical sea village with stony and very steep streets. Oratori de Sant Ramon de Penyafort. Oratori de Santa Caterina and Museu del Mar. The oratory is from the 13th century, and it was destructed by pirates in 1542 and the rebuilt in 1550. Nowadays there is Museu del Mar.
